Chicago, IL – November 2010 – Shell Vacations Hospitality, a collection of 23 one-of-a-kind resorts and hotels in popular destinations throughout North America, Canada, and Mexico has received the prestigious Travel Weekly Magellan Silver Award and the HSMAI Adrian Award for its Ultimate Summer Vacation Sweepstakes. The visually compelling and engaging sweepstakes was conceptualized by Hospitality eBusiness Strategies (HeBS), the industry’s leading full-service Internet marketing services and strategies consulting firm for the hospitality and travel verticals.
The Ultimate Summer Vacation contest was created to help generate interest and buzz around the Shell Vacations resorts and offer the consumer a once-and-a-lifetime getaway to the destination of their choice. Additionally, the contest featured questions asking entrants what their summer travel plans were, where they wanted to go, for how long, and more. HeBS worked with Shell Vacations Hospitality to conceptualize, design and launch the ultimate Summer Vacation sweepstakes. The sweepstakes received over 10,000 votes, of which 49% were for Hawaii. The other top destinations were Arizona and California.
