Ranked in the top 100 U.S. courses by Golf Digest, this course is #1 in Hawaii, beating out the stiff competition on neighbor islands Maui and Lanai. Celebrity golf course designer Robert Trent Jones outdid himself on this course, which is known for its difficulty and versatility (there is a choice of five tees on each hole). The Princeville Makai course is comprised of three separate courses: The Ocean Nine, Lake Nine and Woods Nine. Equally renowned is the Princeville Health Club, part of the Princeville Resort Clubhouse. After a tough game, the health club offers a dozen ways to wind down.

Kalalau Lookout (2 1/2 hours from resort)
This lookout offers a panoramic view of the Kalalau Valley, the largest valley on Na Pali.
Opaekaa Falls (5 minutes from resort)

This waterfall is Kauai’s most accessible major waterfall. The world Opaekaa means “rolling shrimp” which were once abundant in the falls.

Accessible by a short boat trip up the Wailua River, the Fern Grotto is one of Kauai’s signature attractions located within Wailua Marina State Park. Enter a cave cloaked with ferns and surrounded by mists of a waterfall.

A lush 30-acre botanical garden, located within the Wailua Marina State Park (along with the Fern Grotto). This paradise is perfect for an afternoon stroll or a picnic.

Located at the foot of Na Pali Coast Trail, a famous movie location and excellent snorkeling area. You can easily follow a hiking trail and reach Hanakapi’ai Beach, only two miles away.

Stop by the estate to learn more about how coffee is grown, harvested, processed, and graded. About 3,400 acres of McBryde sugar land have made this Hawai'i's largest coffee plantation. Open seven days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Waimea Canyon (2 ½ hours from resort)
Named the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific,” this canyon is truly a spectacular sight. The canyon is 10 miles long, 1 mile wide and more than 3,500 feet deep. Lines in the canyon have been caused by volcanic eruptions and lava flows that have occurred over the past centuries. There are numerous lookouts with stunning views.
