Musicians and performers, covering a gamut of musical genres, activate the streets and give visitors a positive, unique experience in the Mill Avenue District. Look for guitars, banjos, costumes, and pay these performers a visit- you will not be disappointed. Look for the bright red signs complete with names and contact information for your favorite artists, and be sure to support the local artists because you never know who will pop up in the big time.  Music on Mill is a nod to Tempe's vibrant music history, and particularly Mill Avenue, where all of the venues were located that sprouted such bands as the Gin Blossoms, The Refreshments, Dead Hot Workshop and the Meat Puppets.
