Spring Activities in Ontario
Choose one of four acclaimed golf courses within 20 minutes of Carriage Ridge Resort – or play all of them! Within a two-minute drive is Settler’s Ghost Golf Club, a popular favorite offering great food located just across from our resort. Horseshoe Highlands is one of Canada’s top 50 courses, featuring a ten-acre driving range. Horseshoe Valley’s tree-lined course is minutes away, and Hawk Ridge Golf & Country Club is any easy drive to Orillia, where you’ll find two 18-hole courses.
Outdoor Adventure – Off -Road Fun and Cycling
Experience Yamaha off-road adventures just minutes away from Carriage Ridge Resort. Your entire family can experience guided tours through Horseshoe Valley’s rugged trails on an ATV, mini Bike, Rhino or off-road motorcycle, and snowmobiles are available in the winter time.. There is something for everyone!
Rent hybrid road bikes or mountain bikes from Born to Ride, located onsite at our resort, before taking a guided or self-guided tour of the Horseshoe Valley. To explore more of the scenic area surrounding our resort, head to the Copeland Forest Trail (ideal for beginners) or Hardwood Ski and Bike, with a total of 84 kilometers of double- and single-track biking trails.
Scenic Simcoe County is filled with trails – both urban and rural – for hikers of all experience levels. Walking trails through brush, forests, open fields and charming neighborhoods connect with well-maintained boardwalks to provide miles of territory to explore. The Ganaraska, Oro Medonte Rail, Springwater and Provincial Park trails are among the county’s best.
