SHELL VACATIONS HOSPITALITY “CLAIM OUR GIVEAWAYS” CONTEST 2012 OFFICIAL RULES

THIS PROMOTION IS OFFERED ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA , EXCEPT FOR RESIDENTS OF DC, NY, RI, PR AND QUEBEC, AND SHALL BE CONSTRUED AND EVALUATED ACCORDING TO THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF ARIZONA. VOID WHERE RESTRICTED OR PROHIBITED BY LAW.

  1. ELIGIBILITY: To participate in any portion of the contest and qualify for a prize, Contestant must be 18 years old or older and a legal resident of the United States (except for residents of DC, NY, FL, RI and PR) or Canada (except for residents of Quebec). Employees or independent contractors of Sponsor, its affiliated or subsidiary companies, and each of their respective officers, directors, partners, managers, members, employees, agents, advertising/promotional agencies of Sponsor or its affiliates or subsidiaries, as well as members of their immediate families and people living in the same household of each of the foregoing are not eligible. All prizes are guaranteed to be given away from the valid entries/submissions after a series of drawings to be conducted by the Sponsor at the address listed below on or about the dates listed below. Residents of Canada, in order to win, must first correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question administered by mail or e-mail at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

  2. GENERAL: Prizes are held at the address listed below. Entry in the contest constitutes Contestant's full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of the Official Rules. Entries may be used for promotional purposes, and Contestants hereby give their respective permission to be contacted by phone or mail for this or other promotions by Contestants entering the contest. Entries may be electronically databased. Contestants agree that the Sponsor, its affiliated, parent or subsidiary companies, and each of their respective officers, directors, partners, managers, members, employees, agents or other representatives of any kind shall not be responsible or liable for damages, injuries, losses, claims, actions, or demands of any kind arising out of or resulting from entry in the Contest, acceptance or use of the prize or any other matter related to the Contest, including, without limitation, claims based on property damage, personal injury and/or death, publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy. Contestants need not be present to win. Prizewinner will be notified by telephone, electronic mail, certified mail or using other contact information provided by contestant. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.

  3. WINNERS LIST: For a list containing the name of prize winners, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope, postmarked by November 30, 2012 and to be received by December 14, 2012 to Sponsor at its principal place of business listed below (Residents of Canada may omit return postage). Said list will not disclose any personally identifiable non-public information about winners.

  4. TO ENTER: There are multiple contests as part of this promotion. The following apply to all contests, each contest has additional rules described under the specific contest. Beginning October 28, 2012, individuals may enter into any or all of the below described contests by mailing a 3x5-inch postcard with their name, address, phone number, email address, and the name of the particular contest (as listed below) to the address below. All information on the entry must be complete to be eligible. A separate postcard must be sent (1 postcard per envelope) for each contest an entrant desires to enter. Notwithstanding anything listed below for the specific contests, all valid entries submitted by this mail-in method must be received no later than three (3) days prior to a Drawing Date (as defined herein) to be eligible to participate in said drawing. SVC-Hospitality, LLC ("Sponsor") is not responsible for incomplete, lost, late, stolen, misdirected, damaged or illegible entries, or for address changes of Contestants. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for: any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; or any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, providers, computer equipment, or software; or failure of any e-mail or electronic entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, at any Web-site (including www.shellhospitality.com), any mobile application or “app”, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials from this contest. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. For each contest, Sponsor will randomly select from all eligible entrants, that is anyone who entered either by the method described above or the other methods of entry described for each contest below, to choose a winner. In the event of multiple prizes, the first place prize will be selected first and then any second place winners will be selected (in those contests where there are second place prizes).

    1. BLACK FRIDAY SNEAK PEEKS ALERTS CONTEST. In addition to the entry method described above, beginning at 3:00 pm (PST) on November 1, 2012, contestants may enter the Black Friday Sneak Peeks Alert Contest by visiting the Sponsor’s website www.shellhospitality.com/blackfriday (hereinafter the “Black Friday Website”) and signing up for Sponsor’s email alert program. Sponsor will email the day’s “code word” to all individuals who sign up for the email alert. To be eligible, if entering under this method, the contestant must then complete the contest form with the requested entrant information and the day’s “code word” and successfully submit the form to Sponsor. All entries must be received by November 2, 2012 by 2:59 pm (PST). There will be five (5) Grand Prizes each consisting of a Twenty Dollar ($20) Amazon.com gift card (subject to the terms and conditions of such card available at http://www.amazon.com/gp/gc/ref=topnav_giftcert). Grand prize valued at approximately $20. The Drawing Date for this Contest will be conducted on November 2, 2012 after all entries have been submitted.
    2. BLACK FRIDAY SMS TEXT ALERTS CONTEST. In addition to the entry method described above, beginning at 3:00 pm (PST) on November 2, 2012, contestants may enter by visiting the Sponsor’s Black Friday Website and opt in to receive SMS Text Alerts. After opting in, Sponsor will then send a text message with the day’s “code word”. To be eligible if entering under this method, the contestant must then complete the entry form on the Black Friday Website with the requested entrant information and correct “code word” and successfully submit the form to Sponsor. Standard message and data rates may apply. To stop receiving messages, you may text “Stop” to Sponsor. There will be a single Grand Prize consisting of a single Fifty Dollar ($50) iTunes gift card (subject to standard terms and conditions of such card http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/us/terms.html#GIFTS), with the prize valued at $50. All entries must be received by November 3, 2012 by 2:59 pm (PST). The Drawing Date for this Contest will be conducted on November 3, 2012 after all entries have been submitted. Winner may be contacted using the email address or by text message using the phone number submitted for entry.
    3. BLACK FRIDAY SPECIAL OFFER CONTEST. In addition to the entry method described above, beginning at 3:00 pm (PST) on November 5, 2012, the day’s “code word” will be displayed on the website for the Desert Rose TripAdvisor® Special Offer (http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g45963-d217598-Reviews-Desert_Rose_Resort-Las_Vegas_Nevada.html) which will also be linked from the Black Friday Website. Contestants entering under this method, must then visit the Sponsor’s Black Friday Website and complete the entry form on the Black Friday Website with the requested entrant information and correct “code word” and successfully submit the form to Sponsor. The Black Friday Special Offer Contest has five (5) Grand Prizes, each consisting of a two (2) consecutive night stay at the Desert Rose Resort located in Las Vegas, Nevada (accommodations only). Each Grand Prize has a retail value of approximately One Hundred Dollars ($100). All entries must be received by November 6, 2012 by 2:59 pm (PST). The Drawing Date for this Contest will be conducted on November 6, 2012 after all entries have been submitted. Winners may be contacted through the any information provided for entry.
    4. BLACK FRIDAY DIGITAL CAMERA CONTEST. In addition to the entry method described above, beginning at 3:00 pm (PST) on November 6, 2012, the day’s “code word” will be displayed on Sponsor’s Google+® page (https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/102858615173148600688/102858615173148600688/posts) which will also be linked from the Black Friday Website. Contestants entering under this method must then visit the Sponsor’s Black Friday Website and complete the entry form on the Black Friday Website with the requested entrant information and correct “code word” and successfully submit the form to Sponsor. The Black Friday Digital Camera Contest has a single Grand Prize consisting of a single Nikon Coolpix L25 10.1MP Digital Camera with 5x Optical Zoom. Grand Prize has a retail value of approximately Ninety-Nine Dollars ($99). All entries must be received by November 7, 2012 by 2:59 pm (PST). The Drawing Date for this Contest will be conducted on November 7, 2012 after all entries have been submitted. Winners may be contacted through the any information provided for entry.
    5. BLACK FRIDAY TRAVELER SET & GETAWAY CONTEST. In addition to the entry method described above, beginning at 3:00 pm (PST) on November 7, 2012, contestants may enter the Black Friday Traveler Set & Getaway Contest by visiting the Sponsor’s website Black Friday Website and follow the link to Sponsor’s Facebook® page (https://www.facebook.com/ShellVacationsHospitality). To be eligible if entering under this method, the contestant must visit the page and look for an image with a suitcase in Sponsor’s photo album, which will contain the day’s “code word”. Contestants entering under this method must then visit the Sponsor’s Black Friday Website and complete the entry form on the Black Friday Website with the requested entrant information and correct “code word” and successfully submit the form to Sponsor. There will be a single Grand Prize consisting of one stay at a SVC resort managed by Sponsor or its affiliates (excludes Plaza Pelicanos Grand Beach Resort, Whispering Woods, Little Sweden, Salado Creek Villas, Kauai Coast Resort at the Beachboy and Foxhunt at Sapphire Valley) for five (5) consecutive nights (accommodations only) and a four (4) piece New Yorker Luggage set (valued at $99). Grand prize valued at approximately Eight Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($850) to Thirteen Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($1,350) depending on resort selected and travel dates. All entries must be received by November 8, 2012 by 2:59 pm (PST). The Drawing Date for this Contest will be conducted on November 8, 2012 after all entries have been submitted.     6. BLACK FRIDAY WATCH OUR VIDEO CONTEST. In addition to the entry method described above, beginning at 3:00 pm (PST) on November 8, 2012, contestants may enter the Black Friday Watch Our Video Contest by visiting the Sponsor’s website Black Friday Website and follow the link to Sponsor’s Black Friday YouTube video (http://www.youtube.com/user/travelfan5?feature=results_main). To be eligible if entering under this method, the contestant must watch the video and write down the day’s “code word” displayed at the end of the video. Contestants entering under this method must then visit the Sponsor’s Black Friday Website and complete the entry form on the Black Friday Website with the requested entrant information and correct “code word” and successfully submit the form to Sponsor. There will be four (4) Grand Prizes each consisting of a one-night stay at one of the following Sponsor managed resorts (Legacy Golf Resort in Phoenix, AZ, Orange Tree Golf Resort in Scottsdale, AZ or Peacock Suites in Anaheim, CA) (accommodations only) and two (2) movie tickets at UltraStar Cinemas (Not valid for special engagements, unique events, 3D films or D-BOX motion seats, redeemable at all UltraStar locations in California and Arizona). Grand prize valued at approximately One Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($150) but will vary depending on resort and dates selected. All entries must be received by November 9, 2012 by 2:59 pm (PST). The Drawing Date for this Contest will be conducted on November 9, 2012 after all entries have been submitted. Winners may be contacted through the any information provided for entry.
    7. BLACK FRIDAY HOME ESSENTIALS CONTEST. In addition to the entry method described above, beginning at 3:00 pm (PST) on November 9, 2012, contestants may enter the Black Friday Home Essentials Contest by visiting the Sponsor’s website Black Friday Website and follow the link to Sponsor’s Pinterest® page or by visiting it directly at www.Pinterest.com/svhresorts. To be eligible if entering under this method, the contestant must visit the page and look for an image with a suitcase on such page. The contestant then must “repin” the image on a board of their choice. The suitcase will contain the day’s “code word”. Contestant should write down the “code word”. Contestants entering under this method must then visit the Sponsor’s Black Friday Website and complete the entry form on the Black Friday Website with the requested entrant information and correct “code word” and successfully submit the form to Sponsor. There will be a single Grand Prize consisting of one Seventy-Five Dollar ($75.00) Bed Bath & Beyond gift card, subject to the card’s standard terms & conditions (http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/giftCert.asp?). Grand prize valued at approximately Seventy-Five Dollars ($75). All entries must be received by November 10, 2012 by 2:59 pm (PST). The Drawing Date for this Contest will be conducted on November 10, 2012 after all entries have been submitted. Winners may be contacted through the any information provided for entry.
    8. BLACK FRIDAY VIDEO CAMERA CONTEST. In addition to the entry method described above, beginning at 3:00 pm (PST) on November 12, 2012, contestants may enter the Black Friday Video Camera Contest by visiting the Sponsor’s website Black Friday Website to follow the link to Sponsor’s Black Friday Tout® webpage (or visit directly at http://www.tout.com/u/svhresorts). To be eligible if entering under this method, the contestant must watch the “Black Friday” video posted on such site and write down the day’s “code word” displayed at the end of the video. Contestants entering under this method must then visit the Sponsor’s Black Friday Website and complete the entry form on the Black Friday Website with the requested entrant information and correct “code word” and successfully submit the form to Sponsor. There will be one (1) Grand Prize consisting of a Jakk’s Pacific Action Shot video camera. Grand prize valued at approximately Forty Nine Dollars and Ninety-Nine Cents ($49.99). All entries must be received by November 13, 2012 by 2:59 pm (PST). The Drawing Date for this Contest will be conducted on November 13, 2012 after all entries have been submitted. Winners may be contacted through the any information provided for entry.
    9. BLACK FRIDAY NAPA GIVEAWAY CONTEST. In addition to the entry method described above, beginning at 3:00 pm (PST) on November 13, 2012, contestants may enter the Black Friday Napa Giveaway Contest by visiting the Sponsor’s website Black Friday Website to follow the link to Sponsor’s Instagram® profile (or visit the website directly at http://followgram.me/svhresorts/). To be eligible if entering under this method, the contestant must find the Vino Bello photo album and find the image containing a suitcase. The suitcase will contain the day’s “code word”. Contestant should write down the “code word”. Contestants entering under this method must then visit the Sponsor’s Black Friday Website and complete the entry form on the Black Friday Website with the requested entrant information and correct “code word” and successfully submit the form to Sponsor. There will be a single Grand Prize consisting of one stay at Sponsor’s Vino Bello Resort located in Napa, California for two (2) consecutive nights (accommodations only) plus a fifty (50) minute Terra Massage Treatment spa for two (2) at Spa Terra at the neighboring Meritage Resort. Grand prize valued at approximately Seven Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($750). All entries must be received by November 14, 2012 by 2:59 pm (PST). The Drawing Date for this Contest will be conducted on November 14, 2012 after all entries have been submitted. Winners may be contacted through the any information provided for entry.
    10. BLACK FRIDAY CALIFORNIA GIVEAWAY CONTEST. In addition to the entry method described above, beginning at 3:00 pm (PST) on November 14, 2012, contestants may enter the Black Friday California Giveaway Contest by following one of Sponsor’s California resorts on twitter.com and re-tweeting the Sponsor’s Black Friday message containing the day’s “code word” tweeted under such account. Contestants entering under this method must then visit the Sponsor’s Black Friday Website and complete the entry form on the Black Friday Website with the requested entrant information and correct “code word” and successfully submit the form to Sponsor. There will be a single Grand Prize consisting of one stay at Sponsor’s Inn at the Park Resort located in San Diego, California for two (2) consecutive nights (accommodations only) plus one dinner entrée for two (2) diners (beverages not included) at an Inn at the Park restaurant. Grand prize valued at approximately $500. All entries must be received by November 15, 2012 by 2:59 pm (PST). The Drawing Date for this Contest will be conducted on November 15, 2012 after all entries have been submitted. Winners may be contacted through the any information provided for entry.
    11. BLACK FRIDAY ARIZONA GIVEAWAY CONTEST. In addition to the entry method described above, beginning at 3:00 pm (PST) on November 15, 2012, contestants may enter the Black Friday Arizona Giveaway Contest by visiting the Sponsor’s website Black Friday Website to follow the link to Sponsor’s Foursquare® page (or visit directly at http://foursquare.com/svhresorts). To be eligible if entering under this method, the contestant must find on the page for one of the Arizona resorts and find the image containing a suitcase. The suitcase will contain the day’s “code word”. Contestant should write down the “code word”. Contestants entering under this method must then visit the Sponsor’s Black Friday Website and complete the entry form on the Black Friday Website with the requested entrant information and correct “code word” and successfully submit the form to Sponsor. There will be a single Grand Prize consisting of one stay at one of Sponsor’s Arizona resorts (Legacy in Phoenix, AZ), Orange Tree in Scottsdale, AZ, and Starr Pass Resort in Tucson, AZ) for two (2) consecutive nights (accommodations only) plus a Twenty-Five Dollar ($25) Chevron gas card good for gasoline or other products at participating Chevrons (subject to the card’s terms and conditions located at http://www.svmcards.net/chevrontexaco/terms_chevron.cfm). Grand prize valued at approximately $425. All entries must be received by November 16, 2012 by 2:59 pm (PST).     12. BLACK FRIDAY GRAND PRIZE CONTEST. In addition to the entry method described above, beginning at 3:00 pm (PST) on November 16, 2012, contestants may enter the Black Friday Grand Prize Contest by collecting ALL of the code words provided during the previous contests as well as the final code word. To obtain the final “code word”, Contestants must, beginning at 3:00 pm (PST) on November 16, 2012 visit the Sponsor’s website Black Friday Website and follow the link to Sponsor’s Facebook ® page (https://www.facebook.com/ShellVacationsHospitality) and locate the Black Friday Facebook Event and click to “Attend”. After clicking to Attend, the final “code word” will be displayed on the event wall. To enter the Black Friday Grand Prize Contest by this method, Contestants will need to gather all twelve (12) daily code words and create a question using such code words (code words may be obtained after the conclusion of the daily contests, but any Contestant obtaining them after the Drawing Date for that particular Contest will not be eligible for such daily Contest). After forming the question (by placing the code words in order), Contestants must correctly answer the question. Contestants entering under this method must then visit the Sponsor’s Black Friday Website and complete the entry form on the Black Friday Website with the requested entrant information and correct “answer” to the question and successfully submit the form to Sponsor. There will be a single Grand Prize consisting of an iPad mini with 16 GB tablet device. Grand prize valued at approximately Three Hundred and Twenty-Nine Dollars ($329). All entries must be received by November 26, 2012 by 11:59 pm (EST). The Drawing Date for this Contest will be conducted on November 27, 2012 after all entries have been submitted.   5. GENERAL PRIZE TERMS AND ODDS OF WINNING: For all prizes that include accommodations, Hotel/Sales taxes and resort fee are included. Airfare, transportation to and from resort, parking and incidentals (including, but not limited to, food, beverages, Internet access and entertainment) are NOT included in prize. All prizes including accommodations are subject to room availability at listed resorts. For any prize that is a certificate or credit, additional restrictions of the vendor may appear on the certificate or credit itself and winner is obligated to comply with such restrictions. For each contest described herein, the number of eligible entries received will determine the actual odds of winning. Maximum number of entries is approximately 100,000. Offer is not valid in conjunction with any other discount or offer. Purchases do not increase odds of winning. Winner agrees that their name and/or photographs may be used in future marketing or advertising promotions. Following a determination of the winning entry(ies), Sponsor shall provide to said prizewinner an affidavit of eligibility/liability and publicity release form, which winner must execute and return to Sponsor in order for winning Contestant to collect the prize. Prize will be delivered to the winning Contestant upon receipt by Sponsor of the winner affidavit of eligibility/liability and publicity release. In the event the winning Contestant does not return the affidavit of eligibility/liability within fourteen (14) days of a respective prize drawing, a new winner will be selected in the same manner set forth above. Prize is not transferable or assignable. No prize substitutions or cash equivalents, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event the advertised prize becomes unavailable. Winner is solely responsible for all taxes, including federal, provincial, state and local, applicable to the acceptance and use of his/her prize. Prizewinners will be issued a 1099 tax form for the retail value of the prize.
